Cottage of the week – The Brewery Vaults

Our choice of this Cottage of the Week may reveal a little about our thought process (or lack thereof!). You see, we were discussing things to do in October and obviously Oktoberfest stood out. So we thought we’d see what ale-themed properties we had in our portfolio and lo and behold, The Brewery Vaults near Bath practically staggered over and demanded to be written about.

So here we are. But that’s not to take anything away from the property; as you will soon see, The Brewery Vaults combines a beautiful location with a unique yet stunning standard of accommodation to make an unforgettable holiday destination – regardless of how much you try and replicate its former glories.

You’ll find a very large living space inside, which hosts a comfortable and modern apartment that’s furnished to a very high standard.  An amazing four-poster bed in the master bedroom accentuates the ‘wow’ factor and you’ll find the beautiful modern kitchen offers much more than just a place to prepare your meals.

Though the property is located six miles outside of Bath, you won’t find accessing the city much of a problem. There’s a train station just a short walk away, with a train ride into the city taking just ten minutes. You won’t be short of activities in Bath, there’s the Roman Baths, Pump Rooms and the Royal Crescent and spa with its magnificent rooftop swimming pool. In truth just walking the Georgian streets of Bath is an experience in itself.

The village of Freshford isn’t short of attractions either. There are a number of National Trust properties – not to mention other villages – in the vicinity and you’ll find a pub, local shop and many beautiful walks along the river and canal available.

If you’re still not sold by the idea of holidaying in a former brewery then we suggest you take a look at the property’s listing on cottages4you, where you can find more info and make a booking.
