Cottage of the week – Seascape

There seem to be two types of holidaymakers at the moment: those who can’t wait for the summer of sports to get into gear, and those who can’t wait for it to be over. The former are looking for the best vantage point to get a glimpse of the action, while the latter just want to get away from it all. We’re going to be running (no pun intended) plenty of sport friendly cottages on the cottages4you blog in the next few weeks, but in the meantime take a look at the stunning Seascape on the Isle of Skye.

If you truly want to get away from it all in the UK then there are few better locations than Skye. If, however, you want to get away from it all without making any concessions in comfort and luxury – and without missing any sporting TV coverage – then, rest assured, there are few better locations than Seascape. Sporting fans will find a delightfully comfortable interior to relax in while they watch events unfold on the flat-screen TV, while those wanting to escape amongst Skye’s tranquil landscape will find a number of ways to keep themselves entertained.

The level of style and comfort at Seascape should be clear from the pics. This is a truly stunning construction with expansive windowed living areas perfectly complementing the incredible views over the small beach of Fiskavaig Bay, Loch Bracadale, the island of Oronsay and Macleod’s Tables. The interior only adds to the appreciation of your surroundings, with lovely exposed floors, comfortable furnishings and a superior stylish décor.

Armchair sports fans will be well served with satellite TV connected to the flat-screen. There’s also a Nintendo Wii for living room sporting events. A multi-fuel burner will keep you warm and snug through the cooler climes, and there’s a DVD player and a selection of films to choose from too.

The surrounding area plays host to the incredible Cuillin Mountains, a large variety of wildlife and many historical sites and buildings. A visit to the Talisker Distillery is also highly recommended for those looking to explore some of the Isle’s renowned heritage.

A trip to Dunvegan Castle and the coral beach, Neist Point Lighthouse, or the beautiful Waternish peninsula, are all recommended on the west side of the island. The bustling harbour town of Portree is equally accessible. From there you can take a boat out and explore the Isle’s beautiful rugged coastline.

Seascape truly is a property with something for everyone. If you’d like to explore the Isle of Skye from a well-equipped and beautiful location then take a look at the property’s listing on cottages4you. There you can find more info as well as checking price and availability.
