Cottage of the week – Leisure Hour

While the UK isn’t short of the kind of beautiful areas that make you want to drop everything and engage in some serious leisure time, some parts are more suited to seasonal explorations than others. Take the Norfolk Broads, for example. While this region boasts some of the most relaxing breaks and beautiful views in Britain, its network of navigable waterways makes it better suited to enjoying in the warmer months, when you can take a boat out and make the most of its resplendent greenery and tranquil ambience.

So, as spring continues its welcome advance, there seems no better time to select Leisure Hour in Norwich as our new Cottage of the Week. That this property is a great place to explore the Broads should be evident from the photos. You only really have to take a few steps from the veranda to feel the River Bure lapping at your feet (not that we’d recommend it!). If you fancy a more sustainable exploration of the waters then the property is equally well located for day launches from the private dyke.

Leisure Hour’s close proximity to the coast means you can be enjoying the rolling dunes at Sea Pallin, or the traditional seaside trappings of Great Yarmouth, in no time. Inland you’ll find Norwich, with great shopping and some impressive heritage (Blickling Hall, Felmingham and Sandringham amongst others). While you’re in the city we’d also recommend the paying a visit to castle and cathedral.

If relaxation is what you’re after then Leisure Hour is more than happy to assist. Up to 6 holidaymakers can enjoy its 4-star accommodation, relaxing location and comfortable interior. Its delightful thatched exterior is no stranger to attention, having featured in the BBC’s Rivers series with Griff Rhys Jones. Inside you’ll find all the amenities you need to ensure a fantastic break. In fact your only concern will be which part of the region you’re going to enjoy next.

To make a booking, or to find out more about the lovely Leisure Hour, take a look at the property listing on cottages4you.
