Cottage of the week – Camuscross

The Isle of Skye may seem fairly isolated from mainland Scotland but when your accommodation is as well-equipped as our stunning new Cottage of Week we’re fairly sure the only thing you’ll notice is the incredible tranquility. And those views of course. The expansive mountain vistas from Camuscross on the Isle of Skye are undeniably spectacular and, we’d have to say, worth the price of admission alone. But there are a host of other features to discover and enjoy on your break…

This 100 year old former croft house has been sympathetically modernised. So while you’re staying in one of Scotland’s most naturally beautiful locations you’ll have access to a host of conveniences to ensure your break is as comfortable, convenient and entertaining as possible. The 250 ft² living room boasts a flat-screen LCD TV with surround sound. If you’re feeling a little more active you can enjoy a pool table and table tennis table.

An open fire/multi-fuel stove and wide, oak-finished, glass doors to the croft will aid your transition into ‘holiday mode’ and while you relax and admire your surroundings you won’t fail to notice the lovely décor and furnishings. You’ll find a travertine stone-tiled floor throughout, natural stone tiled walls in the bathroom, original sloping ceiling in the upstairs bedrooms and more.

While Camuscross itself offers a fantastic pairing of well-preserved heritage and modern convenience, the surrounding area is equally eager to please, offering all the beauty, space and tranquility you would want from a break on the Isle of Skye – not to mention easy access to several welcome amenities.

If you’d like to toast the start of your holiday there’s a pub only a mile away. Assuming you don’t fancy cooking up a storm in the kitchen every night there’s a Michelin Starred restaurant within 10 minutes’ drive and you can stock up on essentials at the local shop (just 7 miles from the property). With easy access to several AONBs you won’t be short of places to stop and admire either.
