2010 UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup
Pickering town centre will be hosting the opening ceremony of the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup this Friday (23 April). There will be celebrity and Pro-Eliminator events through the town’s centre, with a promise that competitors will avoid a series of obstacles while they ‘fly through a resident’s back garden, over a set of steep steps and flowerbeds whilst manoeuvring their way in between lampposts’. Just reading that exhausts us!
Following the opening race there will be an opening celebration for the Dalby UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup followed by an evening of festivities with activities for all ages. And what’s more the night’s entertainment is absolutely free, though day and full pass tickets for the following Dalby World Cup weekend are available. Please click here for more details on the event’s website.
